NCDEX Re-Triggers 2.5% Event-Based Additional Surveillance Margin on Turmeric Contracts

Industry Specific ComplianceThe NCDEX Limited, on August 26, 2026, has notified the re-triggering of Event-Based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) on Turmeric based on the prescribed High-Low price variation. The measure is intended to address increased price movement and will remain applicable until September 17, 2026.

The following has been stated:

Based on the High-Low variation [(High-Low)/Low × 100], an E-ASM of 2.5% has been re-triggered on Turmeric with effect from August 26, 2026. The E-ASM will apply to all running contracts and yet-to-be-launched contracts in Turmeric until September 17, 2026. No E-ASM has been triggered for Barley, Castor Seed, Coriander, Guar Gum, Guar Seed and Jeera (including Jeera Mini). All other applicable margins will continue to be levied as per the existing requirements.
