The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR), on August 19, 2026, issued a corrigendum to the initiation notification dated June 25, 2026 concerning the anti-dumping investigation into imports of “Hot Rolled Flat Products of Alloy or Non-Alloy Steel” originating in or exported from China PR, Japan and Russia.
The corrigendum modifies Paragraph 23 of the original initiation notification. The revised paragraph records that the applicants have furnished prima facie evidence of injury to the domestic industry, including an increase in subject imports in absolute terms and relative to demand in India, price undercutting, price suppression/depression, increased average inventory despite higher sales, and adverse effects on profitability parameters, including a decline in return on investment, allegedly due to dumped imports.
The investigation continues under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 and the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-Dumping Duty on Dumped Articles for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995, as amended. The corrigendum specifically modifies the injury-related findings in Paragraph 23 of the initiation notification.
