The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), on August 18, 2026, directed all licensees holding Internet Service Authorisation to comply with the orders dated July 21, 2026 passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi in CS(COMM) 678 of 2024 – Merryvale Limited v. John Doe & Ors. The direction relates to blocking access to 14 websites/domains identified in Annexure-B to the enclosed court order.
The DoT has instructed all concerned Internet Service Authorisation holders to take immediate necessary action to block access to the specified websites/domains, strictly in accordance with the directions contained in the High Court’s order. The instruction is issued for ensuring compliance with the judicial directions concerning the identified online domains.
Accordingly, all affected licensees are required to implement the blocking measures without delay and ensure compliance with the Delhi High Court order. The enclosed list of 14 websites/domains in Annexure-B forms the basis for the required blocking action.
