The Finance Department, Govt. of Rajasthan, on August 13, 2026, issued an amendment to the Rajasthan VAT notification – Inclusion of CNG.
The Government has amended its older notification no. F. 12(33)FDrrax/2008- 188, dated June 24, 2020, under Rule 9(5) of the Rajasthan Value Added Tax Rules, 2026, read with Section 7 and Section 51 of the Rajasthan Value Added Tax Act, 2025. With effect from August 15, 2026, the existing expression “High and Light Speed Diesel Oil, Petrol and Aviation Turbine Fuel” has been substituted with “High and Light Speed Diesel Oil, Petrol, Aviation Turbine Fuel and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)”, thereby bringing CNG within the scope of the relevant provision/notification.
